<h1>Central Government Can Modify Companies Act Application for Nidhis and Mutual Benefit Societies Under Section 620A.</h1> Section 620A of the Companies Act, 1956, grants the Central Government the authority to modify the application of the Act concerning Nidhis and Mutual Benefit Societies. A Nidhi or Mutual Benefit Society is defined as a company declared as such by the Central Government via notification in the Official Gazette. The government can specify provisions of the Act that either do not apply or apply with modifications to these entities. Notifications must be presented before each House of Parliament promptly after issuance.
