Public servant status extended to Appellate Tribunal and Tribunal members, officers and employees as deemed under penal code. Chairperson, Members, officers and other employees of the Appellate Tribunal and the President, Members, officers and other employees of the Tribunal are deemed to be public servants within the meaning of section 21 of the Indian Penal Code; this deeming provision was inserted by legislative amendment.
