Members max age 67.</h1> The Chairperson or a Member of the Appellate Tribunal under the Companies Act, 1956, serves a term of three years, with eligibility for re-appointment for an additional three-year term. The Chairperson cannot serve beyond the age of seventy, while other Members cannot serve past the age of sixty-seven. This provision was introduced by the Companies (Second Amendment) Act, 2002, effective from April 1, 2003.
