of <h1>Companies Act Section 156 Omission: No More Registrar Notifications Required for Court-Ordered Register Rectifications.</h1> Section 156 of the Companies Act, 1956, which was omitted by the Companies (Amendment) Act, 1988, required companies to notify the Registrar of rectifications to their registers. When a court ordered a rectification, the company had to file a notice with the Registrar within thirty days. The period for filing excluded the time taken to draft and obtain a copy of the court order.
