        Alteration of memorandum: references to Madras deemed substituted by Tamil Nadu, Registrar to amend company documents. Where a company's memorandum of association existing before the Madras State (Alteration of Name) Act, 1968, states Madras as the State of its registered office, that memorandum shall be deemed altered by substituting a reference to the State of Tamil Nadu for Madras, and the Registrar of the State of Tamil Nadu shall make necessary alterations in the memorandum and the certificate of incorporation.
