Power to wind-up foreign companies permits dissolved foreign corporates to be wound up as unregistered companies in India. A body corporate incorporated outside India which has been carrying on business in India may be wound up under the Indian unregistered companies regime even after it has ceased to carry on business in India, and despite having been dissolved or ceased to exist under the law of its place of incorporation; such entities remain subject to winding up as an unregistered company under this Part.
