Saving clause preserves existing winding up powers and directs legacy references to be read as corresponding modern provisions. Section 590 preserves existing enactments that confer power to wind up partnerships, associations or companies, including winding up as an unregistered company, and directs that references in such enactments to provisions of prior companies legislation be read as references to corresponding provisions, if any, in the present Act.
