Limited Liability Applies.</h1> Ten or more individuals who are producers, or two or more producer institutions, or a combination thereof, can form a Producer Company under the Companies Act, 1956. The Registrar, upon satisfaction of compliance with the Act's requirements, will register the company within thirty days, issuing a certificate of incorporation. The Producer Company will have limited liability based on unpaid share amounts and is considered a company limited by shares. Promoters may be reimbursed for direct costs of promotion and registration, subject to member approval. The company will be a private limited entity, with no limit on member numbers, and cannot become a public limited company.
