of <h1>Ministry Circular: New NACAS Formed, 24 Nidhi Companies Declared, SFIO Officers Authorized, Competition Tribunal Rules Notified.</h1> The circular from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, dated May 26, 2008, addresses regional directors and registrars of companies, forwarding copies of four notifications published in the Gazette of India. The notifications include: the constitution of the National Advisory Committee on Accounting Standards (NACAS) on April 22, 2008; the declaration of 24 additional companies as Nidhi Companies on May 1, 2008; the authorization of officers from the Serious Fraud Investigation Office for prosecution purposes on May 13, 2008; and the notification of rules concerning the Competition Appellate Tribunal on May 16, 2008. Recipients are requested to acknowledge receipt.
