Provision prescribes destinations and addressees for a commission to secure testimony: directed to the local Chief Judicial Magistrate when the witness lies within the Sanhita's territory; sent to a Court or officer specified by Central Government notification when the witness is elsewhere in India; and, where international arrangements exist, issued in prescribed form and transmitted to notified foreign authorities as prescribed by Central Government notifications.
