Search-warrant power to locate wrongfully confined persons enables search and immediate production before a magistrate. A District Magistrate, Sub-divisional Magistrate or Magistrate of the first class who reasonably believes a person is confined in circumstances amounting to an offence may issue a search-warrant authorising search for that person; the search must be conducted according to the warrant and, if the person is found, they shall be immediately taken before a Magistrate who shall make such order as the circumstances require.
