          <h1>Warrant after commutation authorising custody and delivery for execution of the commuted imprisonment sentence.</h1> Form No. 42 authorises a jail officer to retain custody of a named convicted person whose original sentence has been commuted by a court order, annexing a duplicate of that order, and to deliver the prisoner to the proper authority for the purpose of undergoing the commuted punishment, whether imprisonment for life or a mitigated term, with alternative wording to direct execution of a mitigated imprisonment according to law.
