Search of closed premises requires admission on production of a warrant, witness attendance, and a signed inventory copy. The person in charge of a closed premises must admit an officer producing a warrant and provide reasonable facilities for search; if entry is obstructed, the officer may follow an alternative procedure. Persons reasonably suspected of concealing articles may be searched, with searches of women conducted by other women with strict regard to decency. The officer must call two or more independent respectable inhabitants to witness the search, prepare a signed inventory of seized items and their locations, permit the occupant to attend and receive a signed copy, and provide a copy of items taken to any person searched; refusal to witness after a written order constitutes an offence.
