of <h1>State Government to Decide Release or Continued Detention of Individuals Certified Fit for Release Due to Mental Health Status</h1> If a person detained due to unsoundness of mind is certified by the Inspector-General or visitors as fit for release without posing danger, the State Government may decide to release, continue detention, or transfer the individual to a public mental health facility. If transferred, a Commission with a Judicial and two medical officers will conduct an inquiry into the person's mental state. Based on the Commission's report, the State Government will determine whether to release or continue detaining the individual.
