Notice of forfeiture requires a person to disclose asset sources and show cause or risk forfeiture to government. Section 119 empowers the Court to serve a notice on a person believed to hold property that may be proceeds of crime, requiring disclosure of the source of income or assets, evidence relied upon and a show-cause response why the property should not be declared proceeds of crime and forfeited to the Central Government; if property is held by another on behalf of the person, the notice must be copied to that other person.
