State Government Appoints Executive Magistrates, Including District and Sub-divisional Roles, with Temporary and Delegated Powers
In every district, the State Government can appoint Executive Magistrates, including one as the District Magistrate. An Executive Magistrate may also be appointed as an Additional District Magistrate with specific powers. If the District Magistrate's position becomes vacant, a temporary officer will assume the role's duties until further orders. The State Government can assign an Executive Magistrate to oversee a sub-division, termed as a Sub-divisional Magistrate, and may delegate this power to the District Magistrate. Additionally, the State Government may grant a Commissioner of Police the powers of an Executive Magistrate under current laws.
