Security for keeping the peace: magistrate may require a person to show cause to execute a preventive bond to maintain public tranquillity. An Executive Magistrate who has information that a person is likely to commit a breach of the peace, disturb public tranquillity, or do a wrongful act that may occasion such disturbance may require that person to show cause why he should not be ordered to execute a bond or bail bond to keep the peace for up to one year; proceedings may be taken before any Executive Magistrate where the breach is apprehended or where the person likely to act is within the magistrate's jurisdiction.
