Prohibition on using influence to induce an accused to disclose or withhold information, subject to narrow exceptions. Section 354 forbids the use of any influence - by promise, threat, or otherwise - to induce an accused person to disclose or withhold any matter within his knowledge, subject only to the exceptions in sections 343 and 344.
