Payment to innocent purchaser allows court-ordered recovery from money found on the accused when purchase was made in good faith. Where a person is convicted for theft or receiving stolen property and money taken from the convicted person on arrest is available, the court may, upon application by a purchaser who bought the property without knowledge or reason to believe it was stolen and after restitution to the person entitled, order delivery to that purchaser of an amount not exceeding the price paid out of such recovered money.
