Service of summons on corporate bodies: delivery to officer or registered post deemed effective on ordinary arrival. Service of a summons on a company or corporation may be effected by serving it on the Director, Manager, Secretary or other officer, or by registered post addressed to such officer in India; postal service is deemed effected when the letter would arrive in the ordinary course of post. For firms or associations, service may be effected by serving any partner or by registered post addressed to such partner, with postal service similarly deemed effective on ordinary arrival.
