Unlawfully acquired property: court directed police investigations to trace assets and examine records under judicial supervision. The court may direct a police officer not below Sub Inspector to trace and identify unlawfully acquired property, including by conducting inquiries, investigations and surveys into persons, places, property, assets, documents and books of account in banks or public financial institutions; such actions must be carried out by the designated officer in accordance with directions issued by the court.
