of <h1>Section 79 expands Section 77 rules to acquired charged property and modifications of existing registered company charges</h1> Section 79 of the Companies Act, 2013 extends the requirements of Section 77 regarding registration of charges to two additional situations. First, when a company acquires any property that is already subject to a charge, the provisions for registration of that charge apply to the acquiring company. Second, when there is any modification in the terms, conditions, extent, or operation of an existing registered charge, such modification must also comply with Section 77. This ensures transparency and public notice of both newly acquired encumbered property and any changes to existing registered charges.
