of <h1>Foreign company compliance breaches u/s 392 trigger fines, with daily penalties for continuing offences and officer liability.</h1> If a foreign company contravenes the provisions of the applicable chapter, it is liable to a fine of not less than one lakh rupees and up to three lakh rupees. For a continuing offence, an additional fine of up to fifty thousand rupees may be imposed for each day after the first day during which the contravention continues. Each officer of the foreign company who is in default is liable to a fine of not less than twenty-five thousand rupees and up to five lakh rupees. The provision operates without prejudice to other applicable penalties.
