Affidavit authentication: affidavits may be sworn in India or abroad and Indian diplomatic or consular seals are recognised. Affidavits under this Chapter may be sworn in India before authorised courts, tribunals, judges or persons, or abroad before foreign authorities or Indian diplomatic or consular officers; Indian tribunals and judicial officers must take judicial notice of the seal, stamp or signature attached to such affidavits and related documents.
