of <h1>Section 378 confirms old winding-up laws still operate, updating references from 1956 Act to 2013 Act</h1> Section 378 preserves the effect of any law that authorizes winding up of a partnership firm, limited liability partnership, society, co-operative society, association or company, including their winding up as a company or unregistered company under the Companies Act, 1956 or any earlier repealed enactment. Such laws remain operative despite the provisions of this Part of the Companies Act, 2013. However, any reference in those earlier enactments to provisions of the 1956 Act or repealed Acts must be construed as referring to the corresponding provisions of the 2013 Act, where they exist.
