Exemption power: Central government may notify class exemptions for foreign companies from Chapter provisions, subject to parliamentary laying. The Central Government may exempt specified classes of foreign companies, including companies incorporated outside India regardless of establishment of a place of business in India, from any provision of the Chapter by notification, and every such notification must be laid before both Houses of Parliament as soon as practicable after it is made.
