of <h1>Companies Act, Section 33: No Application for Securities Without Abridged Prospectus; Penalty for Non-Compliance 50,000.</h1> Section 33 of the Companies Act, 2013, mandates that no application form for purchasing company securities can be issued without an accompanying abridged prospectus. Exceptions include when the form is part of a genuine invitation to enter an underwriting agreement or pertains to securities not offered publicly. A prospectus copy must be provided upon request before the subscription list closes. Non-compliance results in a penalty of fifty thousand rupees per default.
