Producer Companies must keep 5-15 directors, with one-year relaxation for converted inter-State co-operative societies boards
Producer Companies are required to maintain a minimum of five and a maximum of fifteen directors on their board. An exception is provided for inter-State co-operative societies that are converted and incorporated as Producer Companies: such converted entities may exceed the fifteen-director limit for a transitional period of one year from the date of their incorporation as a Producer Company. After expiry of this one-year period, the general limit of not more than fifteen directors applies, ensuring standardized governance structure while allowing temporary flexibility during conversion.
