of <h1>Compensation for groundless accusations in company law cases: Section 445 extends Section 250 CrPC procedure to proceedings</h1> Section 445 applies the compensation mechanism for accusations made without reasonable cause, as set out in section 250 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, to proceedings before the Special Court or the Court of Session under the Companies Act, 2013, with necessary modifications. This enables those courts to follow the CrPC procedure for considering and awarding compensation in appropriate cases of groundless accusation, and to enforce such orders in the same manner as under section 250 CrPC.
