<h1>Tribunal and Appellate Tribunal members' tenure, reappointment, age caps, minimum age 50, and one-year lien retention rules set</h1> The provision sets the tenure and age limits for the President and Members of the Tribunal and the Chairperson and Members of the Appellate Tribunal. Each holds office for five years from assuming charge and may be reappointed for one additional five-year term. Tribunal tenure continues until age 67 for the President and 65 for other Members, while Appellate Tribunal tenure continues until age 70 for the Chairperson and 67 for other Members. No person under 50 years is eligible for appointment as a Member. A Member may retain a lien on the parent cadre, ministry, or department while in office for up to one year.
