of <h1>Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 omits Section 255 of Companies Act, 2013 affecting limitation period exclusions for sick companies.</h1> Section 255 of the Companies Act, 2013, which dealt with the exclusion of certain periods in computing the limitation period for suits or applications related to companies seeking to be declared as sick, has been omitted by the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016. Previously, it allowed for the exclusion of the duration during which a stay order was in effect, as per section 253, from the limitation period calculations for such cases.
