Section 87 allows government to fix accidental charge filing errors, extending time or correcting omissions without harming stakeholders
Section 87 empowers the Central Government to rectify omissions or mis-statements in filings relating to charges in the register of charges. If the Government is satisfied that failure to intimate payment or satisfaction of a charge, or any omission or mis-statement in prior filings or entries under sections 82 or 83, was accidental, inadvertent, due to sufficient cause, or not prejudicial to creditors or shareholders, it may, on application by the company or any interested person, extend the time for such intimation or order rectification. The provision was narrowed by amendment to focus primarily on intimation and rectification rather than initial registration of charges.
