<h1>Section 378B: Key permissible activities and objects of Producer Companies focused on members' primary agricultural produce and services</h1> Section 378B of the Companies Act, 2013 defines the permissible objects of a Producer Company. Its activities must relate to members' primary produce, including production, procurement, processing, grading, marketing, selling, export, and import of related goods or services. It may manufacture or supply machinery and consumables mainly to members; provide education on mutual assistance; render technical, training, consultancy, and R&D services; generate and distribute power; conserve land and water resources; provide insurance; and undertake welfare measures for members. It may also perform ancillary or incidental activities and extend financing and credit facilities, but must primarily deal with the produce of its active members.
