If the company's articles do not specify otherwise, members present at the meeting elect a Chairman from among themselves by a show of hands. If a poll is requested, it must be conducted immediately as per the Act's provisions. The Chairman elected by a show of hands remains in position until another individual is elected through the poll, who will then serve as Chairman for the remainder of the meeting.
