of <h1>Foreign Companies in India: Winding Up as Unregistered Under Companies Act, 2013, Section 376</h1> Section 376 of the Companies Act, 2013 provides that a foreign company incorporated outside India, which has been conducting business in India and subsequently ceases its operations in India, can be wound up as an unregistered company. This is applicable even if the foreign company has been dissolved or has otherwise ceased to exist according to the laws of its country of incorporation.
