Central Government power to condone late company filings and applications u/s 460, treating delays as compliant
Section 460 empowers the Central Government to condone delay, notwithstanding anything in the Companies Act, 2013, where (a) an application required to be made to the Central Government under any provision of the Act is not made within the specified time, or (b) a document required to be filed with the Registrar under any provision of the Act is not filed within the specified time. In each case, condonation may be granted only for reasons recorded in writing, with the operative consequence that the belated application or filing may be accepted and treated as compliant despite the lapse of the prescribed period.
