of <h1>New Rules for Registration of Charges Under Companies Act, 2013 Replace Previous 1956 Regulations, Effective Immediately</h1> The Companies (Registration of Charges) Rules, 2014, established by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, are enacted under the authority of sections 77 to 87 and section 469 of the Companies Act, 2013. These rules supersede the Companies (Central Government's) General Rules and Forms, 1956, and any other relevant rules under the Companies Act, 1956, concerning the registration of charges, except for actions already completed or omitted before this supersession. The rules are effective from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.
