Advertisement of petition: publication before hearing is required, with limited judicial discretion and a winding-up exception. Rule 24 requires petitions to be advertised not less than fourteen days before the hearing in the Official Gazette and in one daily English and one daily regional newspaper as fixed by the Judge; the Judge may alter or dispense with advertisement requirements generally, but cannot dispense with advertisement for petitions to wind up a company.
