<h1>Liquidators Must Give 14 Days' Notice for Creditor Meetings Under Rule 199 of Company Court Rules, 1959</h1> Rule 199 of the Company Court Rules, 1959, mandates that a liquidator must summon meetings of creditors and contributories with at least 14 days' notice. This notice must be published in an English and a regional language newspaper and sent individually to each creditor and contributory via prepaid letter post. Notices are sent to the address provided in the creditor's proof, the statement of affairs, or the company's records. Meetings under section 506 can be summoned by the continuing liquidator or any creditor if no liquidator exists. Specific forms are prescribed for notices, and this rule excludes meetings under sections 500 or 509.
