<h1>Rule 12 of Company Court Rules: Open Court Matters Include Petitions, Amalgamations, Fraud Applications, and More.</h1> Rule 12 of the Company Court Rules, 1959, specifies which matters are to be heard in open court, including petitions, applications for relief under various sections of the Companies Law, proceedings for company reconstruction or amalgamation, public examinations, and applications related to fraudulent business conduct. It also covers applications for prosecution of delinquent officers, claims on the Companies Liquidation Account, and contempt proceedings. Appeals from the Official Liquidator's decisions and matters directed by the Judge may also be heard in open court. Other matters may be heard in chambers unless adjourned to court by the Judge.
