Service on company prescribes notice, copy and methods including registered post, office service, or service on liquidator. Service requires a petition to be accompanied by a prescribed notice, a copy for service, and a stamped addressed envelope for registered post; the Registrar must send the notice and copy on admission. Service must be effected at the company's registered office or principal place of business, by leaving a copy with an officer or employee, by prepaid registered post, or in such manner as the Judge or Registrar directs. If the company is being wound up, the liquidator must also be served.
