Rectification of the company share register permits correction of ownership entries and aligns contributory records accordingly. The order provides for judicial amendment of the Register of Shareholders to remove or enter a named shareholder in respect of specified shares and share numbers, with consequential variation of the list of contributories and the Official Liquidator's (or Court's) certificate settling that list; it requires delivery of a certified copy of the order to the Registrar of Companies within fourteen days following application and supporting affidavits in winding-up proceedings.
