State Election Commission control of municipal elections secures authority over electoral rolls and electoral conduct under constitutional limits. The provision vests responsibility for preparation of electoral rolls and conduct of all municipal elections in the State Election Commission under Article 243K, conferring on it superintendence, direction and control; it also permits the State Legislature to make laws on matters relating to municipal elections, subject to the Constitution.
