          <h1>Article 370: all constitutional provisions now apply across the territory, overriding local constitutional instruments and laws.</h1> Exercising powers under Article 370(3) read with clause (1), the President declared that all clauses of Article 370 shall cease to be operative except a substituted provision: all provisions of the Constitution, as amended, shall apply to the territory previously governed by Article 370 notwithstanding any inconsistent provision of the former State constitution, local laws, orders, customs, usages or other instruments that had the force of law, or any instrument envisaged under Article 363.
