Extent of State executive power: limited to state legislative matters and constrained where Union executive authority applies. State executive power extends to matters on which the State Legislature may legislate, subject to the Constitution. In matters of concurrent legislative power, the State's executive authority is subject to and limited by any executive power expressly conferred by the Constitution or by law made by Parliament upon the Union or its authorities.
