Vice President acting as President ensures continuity, exercising full presidential powers and receiving prescribed emoluments. The Vice President acts as President during vacancies until a newly elected President assumes office and discharges presidential functions during the President's temporary inability; while so acting he possesses all the powers and immunities of the President and is entitled to emoluments, allowances and privileges as determined by Parliament or, until law provides, those in the Second Schedule.
