<h1>Governor Barred from Parliamentary Seats, Restricted from Profit Offices, Guaranteed Official Residence and Proportional Compensation</h1> The Governor cannot be a member of Parliament or State Legislature, and must vacate any such seat upon appointment. The Governor is prohibited from holding any other profit-generating office. They are entitled to an official residence without rent and receive emoluments, allowances, and privileges as determined by Parliament or specified in the Second Schedule. If appointed to multiple states, the President allocates emoluments proportionally. The Governor's emoluments cannot be reduced during their term of office.
