State continuation of armed forces permitted until parliamentary law, subject to presidential orders and integration into Union forces. Provision permitted States in Part B to continue maintaining any Armed Forces existing immediately before the Constitution's commencement, subject to presidential orders and until Parliament provided otherwise, and declared such Forces to form part of the Armed Forces of the Union.
