Special provisions for major ports and aerodromes allow presidential notifications to modify or exclude laws' application. Article 364 empowers the President, by public notification specifying a date, to direct that parliamentary or state laws shall not apply to, shall apply with specified exceptions or modifications to, or shall cease to have effect in, any designated major port or aerodrome, with savings for prior acts or omissions; it defines 'major port' as a port declared by or under law of Parliament or existing law and 'aerodrome' as defined for aviation enactments.
