Custody of suitors' deposits: custodial receipts must be paid into the appropriate public account, not retained privately. Monies received by officers in connection with Union or State affairs (excluding government revenues) and monies deposited with any court for the credit of any cause, matter, account or person must be paid into the public account of India or the public account of the State, as appropriate.
